Describe a time when you moved to a new house or apartment.
You should say:

- why you moved to a new house or apartment
- whether your new home or apartment was better than the previous one
and explain how you felt about it

Model Answer:
Not sure about the others, but I have always liked the idea of moving from one place to another, especially when I was a young kid. But, I am not too sure that my parents thought the same about moving – at least, that’s what I thought when we had to change our house about a decade ago.
Back then, I was just a junior college going boy, and I was living with my parents in a small house – perhaps a bit too small for my liking – especially, when any of our relatives or guests needed to live with us for a while. We told our parents about the overcrowded situation at our home, but they were not really interested to move from there.
By the way, we used to have a lot of guests at our house before and still do for whatever reasons, and we actually kind of liked it. Another thing, which really bothered me about my old house, was that I needed to travel – I mean, riding my bicycle – a long distance to reach my college. However, my parents weren’t really that concerned about the distance from my college, but they certainly took notice of this “overpopulation” problem at our house one day, and finally, despite unwillingly, decided to move to another place – a house with more space and more rooms.
Now, I must say that the new house was far better than the old one, not only because it was more spacious, but also because my college was a lot closer to it. Besides, it also looked a lot newer and nicely maintained than our old house.
So, needless to say, I felt really good about moving to our new house, not only because it was more spacious, but also because I thought that I would be able to make some new friends there and meet new people. I also felt a bit relieved to know that my college was a lot closer to my new place, meaning I didn’t have to worry about commuting to my college that much.
