Movies & Music IELTS Speaking Part 1 Questions With Answer

Question 1. How often do you go to the cinema?
Answer – To be honest, I don’t prefer watching movies in cinema halls. But, sometimes I have to go or to put it in other words, I would say every once in a while I do go to theatres merely because of my friends and family. Usually, I try to refrain from watching pictures on the big screens.

Question 2. Are cinema tickets expensive in your country?
Answer – I would say it is. Ticket prices in India are on the expensive side; specifically, if I talk about cities, they are exorbitant. Sometimes these theatre owners deliberately raise the ticket prices because they know that people in India are crazy about movies, and they would watch them at any cost.

Question 3. What are the advantages of seeing a film at the cinema?
Answer – My take on this is that it changes boring film into interesting and attractive as people watch it on the big screen and with an effective sound system, which they usually don’t get at home. Moreover, they always indulge themselves in the movie because of their surroundings which again, is not possible in one place.

Question 4. Do you usually watch films alone or with others?
Answer – It totally depends on the situation, if I have to watch it in a cinema then I definitely need company otherwise I would avoid going. Whereas at home, if there is someone to accompany, it’s well and good, but if no one is there, I still love to watch it alone; there are no criteria to watch at home.

Question 5. Which actor would you like to play you in a film?
Answer – I am an ardent fan of Hrithik Roshan, so I would love to have him beside me in any kind of situation, not necessarily a film, even if it’s a short scene; I would be more than happy to go for it.

Question 6. How do you listen to music?
Answer – Without a doubt, I prefer listening to music by putting my headphones on. It doesn’t depend whether I am listening to it through TV or mobile phone, or an iPod. I just want music and that with my earphones.

Question 7. When do you listen to music?
Answer – Whenever I have leisure time I love to listen to, but mostly when I am working in my office or when I am travelling or if I am sitting idle somewhere, I just put my earphones on and start listening to the songs.

Question 8. What’s your favourite kind of music?
Answer – In all seriousness, I prefer to listen to songs like Rock or Pop music genres as these give a kind of thrill or, to be more specific, an energized feeling I get whenever I listen. Apart from this, I love Punjabi and Bollywood songs for the same reason.

Question 9. Is music an important subject at school in your country?
Answer – Absolutely not. Art forms like music or dance are not considered to be an important skill to learn, and for the same reason, no one gives priority to these areas. But in recent times, there has been a change in people’s mindset as they have started accepting these skills and pursuing their careers.

Question 10. What kinds of music are (most) popular in your country?
Answer – In India, the most popular style is the Bollywood theme, but apart from this, there are so many different genres that have been adopted in recent times, so all in all, you can see all the famous genres in India have started getting developed and created on all platforms.
